Types of Braces

Types Of Braces

TRADITIONAL METAL BRACES

Metal braces are the most common type of braces and the one most people have seen and heard of when they begin their orthodontic journey. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces use metal brackets and archwires attached to each of your teeth to straighten your smile. You also have the option of adding colorful elastics for a fun and expressive smile during treatment.

INVISALIGN CLEAR ALIGNERS

Invisalign clear aligners are an advanced system of clear, removable aligners that gradually and effectively straighten your teeth without the need for the metal brackets or wires of traditional braces. They are made of advanced patented SmartTrack material, a flexible plastic which applies gentle, constant force to improve the control of tooth movements and straighten your teeth more predictably.

CLARITY ADVANCED CLEAR BRACES

Clear ceramic braces are less visible on your teeth than traditional metal braces and are therefore a more popular option amongst older teenage and adult patients with cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less noticeable, they actually require more attention to oral hygiene because they use larger and more brittle brackets than metal braces.

INCOGNITO HIDDEN Braces

Incognito, or lingual braces, are placed behind the teeth instead of the front. They work in much the same way as traditional metal braces to straighten your teeth, but with a much less noticeable appearance. However, it’s important to keep in mind that lingual braces may take more time to get used to, sometimes causing a temporary lisp, and can be more expensive than other types of braces.
